Location: West End of London
The Palace Theatre has been home to some of the West End’s favourite musicals since it opened in 1891. Bought by Andrew Lloyd Webber in 1983 and refurbished by 1991, the magnificent building still bore some signs of wood damage which LDS pinpointed to a woodworm infestation.
Once our survey had revealed the extent of the problem, we removed all affected and damaged wood. All remaining wood was treated with timber preservative to prevent reinfection and timbers were replaced to ensure the safe functioning of the theatre.
